Typology: Industrial Research
Final Result: FR 1 | Global concept of a digital twin based on ethical, human-centered, biointelligent AI systems.
Responsible Partner: Free University of Bozen-Bolzano
Duration: 36 months
Operative Units: Bozen-Bolzano
WP 1 focuses on creating a comprehensive concept for the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in factories, with the goal of achieving more sustainable, data-driven manufacturing.
To do this, methodologies such as systematic literature review, requirements analysis through Axiomatic Design, use of ontology models, and exploration of technologies such as Digital Twin and AI in industry will be employed.
Expected outcomes include the development of guidelines for ethical design of AI systems, implementation of AI-based service systems, and evaluation of the potential of biointelligent manufacturing systems.
The innovative approach of this research is to consider humans as central to the production system and to examine the practical feasibility of such concepts in areas such as the ceramics industry. This work contributes to both research and industry by offering practical and original solutions.
In order to achieve the purpose of the WP, the activities described below have been planned.
