The administrative process for the START project has reached a key milestone with the signing of the Innovation Agreement with the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy. The agreement was signed on December 20, 2022, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant call for proposals (Ministerial Decree of December 31, 2021).
The signing of the Innovation Agreement represents an essential formal step in the context of the subsidy instrument, as it defines the framework of commitments between the Ministry and the beneficiaries, as well as the conditions for access to the subsidies provided. This act marks the project's entry into the final stage of the preliminary investigation process, preparatory to the operational launch of the funded activities.
Following the signing of the agreement, all the pre-decree documentation for the grant was uploaded to the dedicated management platform. This step made it possible to complete the requirements prior to the formal issuance of the grant, ensuring the correct transmission and traceability of administrative and technical documents.
Subsequently, on March 30, 2023, the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT) sent the Grant Decree to the partners. The decree is the official act recognizing the subsidies provided for in the Innovation Agreement, defining the eligibility of the project and the conditions for the disbursement of the grant.
The issuance of the Grant Decree represents a key moment in the project's life cycle, as it concludes the evaluation phase and formalizes public support for the initiative. Starting from this act, the project can proceed according to the established procedures and timelines, in compliance with the obligations set forth in the regulations and the signed agreement.
Overall, the signing of the Innovation Agreement, the completion of the pre-decree documentation, and the transmission of the Concession Decree mark the completion of the administrative process and lay the foundations for the full implementation of the project activities. These steps confirm the soundness of the path undertaken and the institutional recognition of the START project within the framework of national policies supporting industrial research and development.
